The Method

The Method (PDF): is a description of the process Lalita Prasad Thakur taught me for becoming a girlfriend of Radha in my perfect spiritual body. I explain it in such a way that you can use it to develop your own identity in the idealized reality of Braj. It is another draft chapter from my new book, Universalist Radha-Krishnaism: A Spirituality of Natural Devotion. Please let me know if anything is unclear, could be improved, or that you really like and want more of.

  1. Universalist Radha-Krishnaism is like a flower unfolding naturally, and it is best not to force it. I do not recommend becoming a recluse, chanting sixty-four rounds a day and meditating on the pastimes day and night unless we know we are near death. Otherwise, that’s why we have a lifetime to grow and develop a vision of what we want our next life to be, but while here, our needs are best served by being present in the now and attentive to the people and situations at hand. This is a life embracing philosophy which encourages participation in society and culture at all levels.

Universalist Radha-Krishnaism employs a Taoist approach to Radha-Krishna devotion–natural gradual unfolding, non-striving, flowing along the middle way, being aware of God-dess’ presence in and as all creation. That is why when you read all the chapters of my next book that deal with this method, it is called “The Way of Natural Devotion.”

It can only be understood in conjunction with my first book, _Universalist Radha-Krishnaism: A Spirituality of Liberty, Truth, and Love._ It should not be confused with what various cults and sects teach. Universalist Radha-Krishnaism is a unique experience for each of us as we find our way to where we’re going.
