Why the name “Jungle Dispatch”

I live in the jungle of South Puna on the Big Island of Hawai’i, hence the name “Jungle Dispatch.” It’s been raining and cool for several weeks. I miss

My jungle home.

My jungle home.

the sun. My wife and I moved here in 2005. We wanted to escape the growing fascism of the Bush administration and be somewhere sustainable in the face of impending economic collapse and increasing climate change. So, here we are living on the biggest mountain in the world, which is an active volcano, in the middle of the biggest ocean, far from any continent and its masses.

I am officially retired, which frees me to engage in spiritual practices and writing. We live a simple off-grid lifestyle surrounded by untamed natural beauty. This is an ideal spiritual environment for me, which helps me think outside the box. It is my dream come true. I don’t know if I could have written Universalist Radha-Krishnaism anywhere else. So many events, some planned, some determined by circumstance have led me here, and I trust there is divine guidance behind it all. Live the dream, follow the bliss, be the person you want to be–in this life and the next. Trust in God-dess’ love. Aloha.
