Summer

Late summer day. Sun shining beautifully on the trees. Dead cardinal lying on my deck. Flowers in bloom. Some plants beginning to fade. Grass needs mowing. Life happens all around us, in us. We are part of the endless cycle of life and death. Our fate is connected to the fate of every other creature on this planet. But no other creature has a greater impact on the planet than we do. How carelessly we live and destroy the environment and its creatures. Don’t we know that we are destroying ourselves? Let us learn to live as loving caretakers of all creation. Living in peace and harmony with all. Then we will be truly human.

Om shanti Om,

Steve
